Offerings Are Opportunities

Updated: Sep 5, 2022

For VMR Members; offerings are opportunities which can lead to Revenue.

Being an entrepreneur means that you as the business owner; is responsible for everything that happens and even the missed opportunities.

When you operate on your resume level you will either find opportunities or create them. Often times opportunities will come one's way and because they may not sound or look like what one feels is a good opportunity one may let it get away.

One of the tools that can aide in generating revenue for VMR members is what we call Offerings.

Offerings can be presented or made by members or non members. I.E a movie short, a commercial, or a business service that may be offered at a discounted price but lead to something more lucrative.

Offerings are what we can utilize to negotiate or barter for something that one may need to complete a project or obtain for the business.

The offering has value in the way it is constructed and presented.

Always keep in mind, we are building a community that cares about its members and the people we target to do business with.

I recently offered members an opportunity to participate in a local commercial with the potential to reach hundreds of thousands of people. To my surprise no one accepted my offering, While I was so bent on pulling in other members who just wasn’t interested I realized that the opportunity was for me. So, I gladly accepted the commercial spot.

Sometimes we don’t realize that we’ve missed an opportunity until it has passed us by. Sometimes the opportunity is blocked by one’s misperception of the person presenting the opportunity. Many times we are looking for the Rich and the Famous for opportunities that don't seem as appealing coming from plain Jane or regular ol’ Jones. A legitimate offering may not seem as attractive coming from someone who isn't as important to you as you would deem a celebrity.

VMR is a bartering community. We want to think about and consider others as we work to build and expand our brand, Offerings affords us this opportunity. Just like advertising doesn’t cost; to give is to gain something far more valuable than money; an ally. An ally in business is like an ally in a war; it can perhaps determine the difference between victory or defeat as in war or success or failure in the market place.
